Homework

There will be homework almost every day. On most days, there will be some class time to work on assignments, but it is extremely important that all homework is complete.Time will be given in class to answer questions before homework is graded. Any homework grade lower than 80% can be corrected, showing all work, and turned in. When all problems have been corrected, the grade will be raised to 80%.

Grading

Each grade will fall into one of two categories: homework or test/quiz. Within each category, the percent of total points will be used to determine a percent. The homework category will count as 35% of the total grade and the test/quiz category will count as 65% of the total grade. Each semester average is calculated by counting the first term grade as 40%, the second term grade as 40% and the final exam as 20%. The algebra grade is included in the high school grade point average. The scale is as follows:
