Removing the Yadda...Yadda...Yadda...from PowerPoint Presentations (ICE 2006)
Are your students' PowerPoint Presentations too much like the old 35 mm slide shows with added animation? Do you ingest caffeine before viewing several presentations? It's time to break away from the linear presentations so often associated with PowerPoint and create engaging multimedia presentations. This workshop is all about eliminating (or at least reducing the use of) the canned speech presentations and giving the audience more control.

The answer? At this Workshop! Participants will examing many, varied science sites that have been selected and categorized. A Little Inspiration for Writing (ICE 2006) Looking for a new way to teach basic paragraph writing? Take advantage of technolgy's motivation to help students learn to write. Structure writing is a method used to teach the process of paragraph writing using computer templates. Participants will use Inspiration to work throught he writing process steps in creating their own paragraphs as well as learn how to create their own templates for classroom use.
