MEET MRS. PRATT

I was born and raised in Shelbyville, Indiana.  I received my graduate and undergraduate degrees from Ball State University. Then spent some time overseas as a missionary in the Philippines.

I began teaching at Greensburg Community High School in 1985 as a Learning Resource Teacher. I taught numerous classes to our LRC students at GCHS over the next 16 years. In 2001 I began teaching elementary age LRC students at Rosenmund Elementary. I discovered then how much I enjoy teaching elementary students! I taught two years at Billings Elementary when it was the kindergarten /1st grade center. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching the kindergarten and first grade students that I had.  My class was made up of LRC and DRC students. The past two years I have taught third grade LRC students.

This year wil be quite different for me. I will be working with 6th thru 8th grade students with a variety of disabilities. Our students have mild to severe physical and learning disabilities.

Mrs. Jan McClure is my assistant this year. She has worked as the DRC assistant at the Jr. High for more than ten years. She is a wonderful asset to our class with her experience and patient manner.   She will assist me in working with our students in learning and other activities.

I am married and have one daughter who graduated from Greensburg High School in 2005.   She is a professional cosmetologist working in Columbus. My family and I enjoy taking trips and antiquing. I also enjoy reading and am very involved with our church.
