Student               Planner

Dear Parents,

This is one of the most important letters you will get from me! With the proper use of the planner we can communicate with each other to help your child. It will take ALL THREE... (student, parent, and teacher) doing their part EVERY DAY.

My part is to help the children get the information where it goes. The student's part is to follow my directions and bring the planner home every day to you. Your part is to check the plastic pocket to EMPTY out important items that come home, check the homework assignment daily, and sign your name. Please sign your whole name and not just the initials as they suggest.

New items of importance (like forms we sent home that need to be returned and homework papers to do) can go back in the pocket to give to me the next day. Regular graded papers will not go in the pocket because they don't need an action back from you. I will also write notes to you in the daily assignment pages and you can feel free to write there to me since I will check each morning to see your signature. However, please do not put changes in transportation there since I hang those messages by the door.
