Technology
At Greensburg Community Schools, we take pride in being one of the leaders in southeastern Indiana in the 1:1 educational technology movement. All students K-12 have laptop devices, ensuring equitable access to the tools necessary for developing essential 21st-century skills. Our curriculum is enhanced through the use of these devices, helping students to seamlessly integrate technology into their learning experience.
Greensburg Community Schools is a corporation where best practices intersect with next practices. If one were to visit our junior high STEMconnects, one might find students creating news reports in front of a green screen, while other students nearby might be exploring how to program a robot or designing and 3D printing a tool to help their robot function more effectively. Students at Greensburg Elementary might be using Project Lead the Way curriculum to explore the Egyptian pyramids. In the ZSpace lab at Greensburg Community High School, biology students may be analyzing a 3D rendering of a human brain. We believe our students are no longer just consumers of information. Instead, they are continually involved in the production of tangible products to an authentic audience.
We believe students should be an active participant in the learning process. This modern curriculum with cutting-edge technology is structured to prepare students for a 21st-century workplace.
